Education, Training & Assessing

So you want to learn to teach?

Can teach but don't have a qualification?

We can help you with our range of teaching and assessing qualifications which can be done individually or as a group.

We can tailor the course to your needs - it may be that you are already delivering a course in the workplace - we can train you as a trainer and look at the sessions you already deliver - working with you to produce a portfolio of evidence and so gaining a nationally recognised qualification!

Level 3 Education & Training

Education and Training is an introductory teaching qualification and can be taken by individuals who are not currently within a teaching role as there is no practice requirement other than microteaching.

The qualification makes it ideal for those that aspire to become teachers, or those who have only just started in the profession. The role of a teacher in the education and training sector is a varied one, it involves planning, delivering and evaluating sessions that meet the needs of the learners and the requirements of the course. It includes record keeping and giving feedback.

STA Level 3 Understanding the Principles and Practices of Assessment

The aim of this qualification is to give the trainee assessor knowledge and understanding of the principles and practices that underpin assessment.

This qualification is intended for learners who wish to gain an understanding of the principles and practices of assessment. It is ideal for those who are new to assessment practice, or wish to gain an insight into the role of the assessor as there is no practice requirement.

STA Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice

An internal quality assurer (IQA) is responsible for maintaining the quality of assessment within a training organisation or centre.

The role will involve observing training and assessing practice and giving constructive feedback with meticulous record keeping. The role requires the IQA to provide support, training and standardisation for tutors and assessors along with liaising with external quality assurers to ensure that a consistent standard is maintained and that assessments are conducted and assessment decisions are made in line with awarding organisation requirements.

This qualification is intended for learners who are currently undertaking a quality assurance role within their organisation or centre and need to ensure assessment conduct and decisions are valid and reliable.
